Legislative: “Marine Le Pen has only one opponent, it’s Reconquest”, castigates Zemmour

Éric Zemmour disapproves of Marine Le Pen’s strategy for the legislative elections. While the president of the Reconquête! party, which achieved a score of 7% in the presidential election, is seeking the 4th constituency of Var, the interim president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardella, came to his land this weekend to support the party’s candidate, claiming that Eric Zemmour was not God. “I did not know that I was not God”, answers with irony Éric Zemmour Monday in Europe Morning.

As in the Var, the former presidential candidate regretted the tactics advocated by the RN. “There are hundreds of constituencies where the candidate of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, from Nupes, can win. There are hundreds where it is the candidate En Marche! (Renaissance, editor’s note) who can win. No, Jordan Bardella comes to constituencies where I have a serious chance of winning and beating, incidentally, the candidate of the National Rally”, exposed the ex-controversialist at the microphone of Sonia Mabrouk.

Criticism of Marine Le Pen’s strategy

Éric Zemmour also regretted the visit of the interim president of the RN to the Vaucluse, where Stanislas Rigault, a faithful of the former journalist of the Figaro, is also running for the legislative elections. For him, “there are two strategies. That of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who brought together the entire left and who will allow the left around him, gathered on his terms, to achieve a very good result, to have 150 deputies. And then there is Marine Le Pen’s strategy. She has only one opponent, obviously, it’s Reconquest!”, He explained on Europe 1.

“I knew Marine Le Pen wouldn’t want an agreement, I asked for it,” he added. “I understood that his only objective in this campaign was to beat Reconquest.”

No agreement in sight with the RN

Rejecting the fact of being the one who prevented the candidate of the National Rally from being at the head of the presidential election, Éric Zemmour clarified his strategy for the legislative elections: “To respond to Jordan Bardella, I did not present a candidate against her, neither against Éric Ciotti, nor against Nicolas Dupont-Aignan.”

If he is elected on June 12 and 19, the president of Reconquête! also rejected any desire for rapprochement with the RN to form a group in the National Assembly. “I am not in the National Rally, nor a dissident of the RN. I am independent, so no”, he assured. “Marine Le Pen did not know how to organize this great gathering of the rights that I would have done, if I had been in her place (…) She did not know how and did not want to do it. So she will end up with 20 deputies. Good for her,” he continued.
