Un survey by the Elabe Institute for BFMTV, The Express and SFR published on Wednesday would place the New People’s Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) ahead of the outgoing majority in the first round of the June legislative elections, but Together would however keep its majority in the second round. In the first round of the legislative elections, the Nupes (LFI / PS / EELV / PCF) would obtain 27.5% of the voting intentions, ahead of Together (LREM / MoDem / Horizons / Agir) which would reach 27% and the National Rally (21.5 %), underlines the survey of the Elabe Institute for BFM / TV, L’Express and SFR.
The Republicans would arrive in fourth position (10%), ahead of Reconquest!, the party of Éric Zemmour, which would be around 5% of the voting intentions. According to this projection, “LREM and its allies could obtain an absolute majority in the National Assembly”, specifies the poll carried out from May 16 to 18 with a sample of 1,793 people, representative of residents of mainland France, including 1,668 registered on the electoral lists. The margin of error is between 1 and 2.3%.
Between 290 and 330 seats for Ensemble
Whole ! would thus obtain between 290 and 330 seats, the lower range being very close to the 289 seats necessary to have an absolute majority in the National Assembly. For its part, Nupes would obtain between 160 and 185 seats, while the RN would win between 35 and 65, ahead of LR (25-30). In addition, Elabe questioned the French on Monday’s appointment of Elisabeth Borne at Matignon: 36% believe that it is a “good thing” for the country, 26% a “bad thing” and 38% say “not knowing or not having an opinion”.
