LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga: How to disable voice acting or put on Mumble Mode?

For many years, one of the things that has made the charm of the license is the way the characters speak, during cutscenes, in the manner of Animal Crossing, without words. The protagonists indeed used mumbles to advance the story during cutscenes, or simple dialogues, adding an extra touch of humor. However, with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, TT Games has chosen to dub a multitude of dialoguesmostly based on movie lines, to increase immersion. But it is possible to cut them, or switch to Mumble Mode.

How to enter Mumble Mode (mumbles) in The Skywalker Saga?

The manipulation is not obvious, if you do not know how to do it. Already, you have to be in the game, and not in the main menu. Once you have launched your game, you will be able to take out your Holoprojector, and go to the “EXTRAS” section, to the right. Then, all you have to do is follow these steps:

  • In the “EXTRAS” section, go to the “DATACARTES” menu (the first).
  • Scroll down until you find the title “Mumble mode” and activate it.

Then, during cutscenes and other exchanges, you should hear your interlocutor use onomatopoeia and other exclamations when speaking.

How do I turn off voices?

If you’d rather remove the vocals, purely and simply, to enjoy a quieter ambience, that’s in a whole other place. You won’t need to have started a game, since you can do it directly from the main menu. Go to the settings tab, and the part dedicated to the sound, to mute the volume of the dialogues.
