The transition to the new generation and the desire to renew the recipe for brick games may have put a spoke in the wheels of the developers. The project announced in 2019 is therefore the latest news expected for spring 2022…
We’re just one season away from that, so a release date announcement is potentially imminent. It may have just leaked before its formalization. Lumia Updates, accustomed to scanning the servers of Microsoft to detect secret information, claimed yesterday to know from who knows where that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga launch date set for April 5.
And today is GAME, UK retailer, who has tweeted that the game making us go through the 9 films in a new light would be released on April 5, 2022, before deleting his post. Strange coincidence or real leaked ? Only time will tell… The title can in any case be pre-ordered on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S from €59.99 per Fnac.
Update : the suspense will have been short-lived, Warner Bros. Games has just formalized this release date with a long trailer of gameplay ! He tells us that we will begin the adventure by having access to the first films of the 3 trilogies, and thatit will be possible to freely explore the unlocked planets, to be reached via a map of the galaxy and after sequences of piloting in space rich in sensations. We can thus choose between following the missions of the campaign and making detours by cult places on isolated stars.
The game system will also be revisited with combos and shooting phases, the force can be used to lift objects and influence NPCs, characters can be questioned, the possibilities of movement will be increased and skills will be unlocked via Kyber Bricks…

During space travel, players can engage in heroic space combat against enemy starships, piloting legendary vehicles like the Millennium Falcon™, Imperial TIE™ fighters, Rebellion X-wings™, and many others. Once at their destination, players can choose to continue the main story or explore and uncover exciting quests and puzzles within the galaxy.
Exploration rewards players when they discover Kyber Bricks that unlock new features and enhanced abilities for a whole host of character classes including Jedi, Hero, Dark Side, Villain, Raider, Rascal, Bounty Hunter, Droid astromech and protocol droid. Play as iconic characters like Leia™, Yoda™, Boba Fett™, Darth Maul™, Poe™ and over three hundred other unlockable characters from all nine movies in Free Play Mode to create fun new adventures. From the hills of Naboo to the desert dunes of Jakku, you can explore and play in the LEGO Star Wars galaxy.
The trailer also reveals that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will feature Mumbles Mode, an option that fans of classic LEGO Star Wars games can activate to replace all voices with mumbles!
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is now available for digital pre-order. Consumers who digitally pre-order the game will receive early access to the Trooper Character Pack on release day. The pack will be available one month after release for those who purchase the Character Collection Pack (Season Pass with all seven Character Packs) or a la carte. Digital purchasers can also unlock the classic Obi-Wan Kenobi™ playable character that is not available for purchase a la carte. The physical version of the Deluxe Edition will include an exclusive LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker™ minifigure with collectible blue milk.
There will be over 300 characters to collect, over 100 vehicles to drive and 23 planets to visit, a completely crazy promise that makes you want to get your hands on this LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
