Leica updates the M11

Barely tested by us, now the Leica M11 receives a firmware update. On the program, no real revolution, but a lot of welcome bug fixes and new possibilities. Among them, we note the return of the LPC, for Leica Perspective Control. A feature already present on older boxes such as the M10-P, M10-R and M10 Monochrom. Could the function have been forgotten? For a box over 8000 €, that’s not very professional. Remember that the correction of perspective when shooting takes into account the orientation of the camera (landscape or portrait) and then applies modifications to the images, in particular by correcting receding lines. On the screen, a framing marker also makes it possible to appreciate the cropping operated for the correction. Note that if you shoot in RAW (DNG), the images are saved without the corrections: the latter are entered in the metadata to be applied in post-production with Adobe Lightroom in particular.
