Ain: back to the Middle Ages in Pérouges

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Médiévales de Pérouges are making their comeback with a bang this weekend. For two days, the Perugian city sets sail for the 15th century and comes alive around merchants and troubadours. Onlookers will be able to discover the medieval camp and its thirty reconstitution troops. Musicians, puppeteers, jugglers, theater and dancers will enliven the cobbled streets.

New this year, the party will come out of the historic center with four different performance areas. At the farm of Pérouges in particular, the animations will be in free access. Starting with the expected silver belt tournament – ​​sword fight in armor – stage of the national championship.

Two highlights also, the Saturday night show (from 10 p.m.) where the fire-eaters will impress, and the grand parade in uniforms of the participating troops, Sunday morning (11 a.m.).
