On his birthday and shortly before the fifth anniversary of his death, actress Juliette Lewis commemorates Lemmy Kilmister with a wild photo.

British cult rocker Lemmy Kilmister (1945-2015) survived his 70th birthday on December 24th by four days. On December 28, 2015, he succumbed to cancer. US actress and musician Juliette Lewis (47, "Cape of Fear") now remembers the former Motörhead frontman with a photo that she posted on Instagram.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEMMY. I asked him if we could take a picture – and he did. Always makes me grin," she comments on the selfie, in which she smiles well into the camera and he pretends to be he'll bite her right away.

More about the rock star in the biopic

Those who want to see more of the rock star will soon be served. In the coming year, a Kilmister biopic with the simple title "Lemmy" is to be created, as the US trade journal "Deadline" reported in June. The film is intended to provide a glimpse behind the facade of the musician who consumed cigarettes and whiskey for breakfast after getting up.

"Everything you've heard about Lemmy is probably true … not because he played rock and roll clichés, but because he created them," explains screenwriter Greg Olliver. In addition, the career of the "Ace of Spades" singer is shown: From the beginning with Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970, "Hey Joe") to the founding of Motörhead. The start of production is planned for the beginning of 2021. The film will then be presented in Cannes.
