Lena Meyer-Landrut broke her silence on Instagram and posted a video with which she apparently announced a new song.
The followers of Lena Meyer-Landrut (29) were amazed yesterday (May 17th): The singer had made tabula rasa on her Instagram account and completely deleted all pictures and posts. The radio silence did not last long. Today (May 18th) the 29-year-old reported back with a little video and was showered with a lot of “Love” from her fans.
The short clip shows short excerpts from concerts mixed with other video sequences. Underneath is a dance-like up-tempo beat. At the end the date May 21st with the word “Optimistic” is shown. It is not clear whether the singer is announcing a new single or even a new album. “Only Love, L”, Lena’s last studio album, was released on April 5, 2019 and landed on second place in the German album charts.
Fans enthusiastically greet her back
Within a few hours, the post was able to collect almost 700,000 views and the comment column is overflowing with exuberant posts. The commentators also include many celebrities such as model Stefanie Giesinger (24), presenter Palina Rojinski (36) and YouTuber Dagi Bee (26). Meyer-Landrut apparently did not expect so much encouragement: “So much love from you – zero expected,” commented the singer on her own post.
In 2021, Lena Meyer-Landrut was definitely not active on Instagram. After a New Year’s greeting to her fans, she spoke briefly in a story at the beginning of April.
