Lena Meyer-Landrut (32) will soon release her sixth studio album: “Loyal to myself” will be released on May 31st and follows the album “Only Love, L” from 2019. Details about the content of the new record – the title track is already there appeared – the singer also revealed.

“Loyal to myself” consists of 17 songs and is announced as a “rousing declaration of independence” with which the 2010 ESC winner “frees herself from her fears, doubts and external expectations”. The album’s motto is: “More authentic. More with me. Back to me. Less pressure. More fun.” The musician already had this resolution of the year exclaimed in an Instagram post.

In it, Meyer-Landrut also spoke of a “year full of confusion and uncertainty,” which she processed in the song “Loyal to myself.” She accepted the challenge and used the opportunity to think, reflect “and start the next year with new thoughts, new energy and new courage.” The title describes “loyalty to myself, accepting yourself, finding joy in yourself and the things you do,” explains the 32-year-old in a statement. The song represents “the basic feeling that I can stand by myself, even when there is headwind, to leave doubts behind me and to see bad experiences as an opportunity.”

Tour in June and July

The singer is also working on the single and the album in a video documentary documented with the title “Making Loyal”. Three episodes have already appeared on YouTube, with more parts to follow. In June and July, Meyer-Landrut will present her new work live on stage. The previously announced German tour starts on June 1st in Leipzig and takes you to Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart until July 26th.
