Terrible crash in Upper Austria. A car driver (66) suddenly swerved to the left and crashed head-on into the car of a 41-year-old woman. The consequences were fatal.
Although he was driving a BMW SUV, a 66-year-old from Schwertberg did not survive the accident. On Monday he was on the B3 from Perg in the direction of Linz. Around 3.30 p.m., for an unknown reason, he steered his vehicle to the left, where a 41-year-old from Pergkirchen came towards him. The car rolled over The cars collided. The 66-year-old’s BMW then rolled over twice and finally landed on the road in the middle of the roof. The woman’s car was thrown into the ditch and she was seriously injured. The man succumbed to his severe injuries a short time later in Linz’s MedCampus III. The vehicles involved were rescued by the Mauthausen fire brigade crane. The relatives were cared for by the KIT.
