Léo Matteï on TF1: Jean-Luc Reichmann unveils the new features of season 10 with Lorie, Philippe Bas and Mimie Mathy

“Léo Mattéï” returns to TF1 tonight with a new season that celebrates the series’ tenth anniversary by welcoming many guests such as Lorie Pester, Xavier Deluc and Mimie Mathy. Jean-Luc Reichmann tells us all about these new episodes.

Good news for fans of Jean-Luc Reichmann: the Léo Mattéï series returns this Thursday April 6 at 9:10 p.m. on TF1 for a season 10 not to be missed.

Indeed, to mark the tenth anniversary of its successful detective fiction, the channel has decided to put the small dishes in the big ones by welcoming a good number of exceptional guests. While continuing in the vein of the reboot of the operated in season 9, mixing strong societal subjects linked to childhood and lighter moments of life within the renewed brigade of Mattéï.

Heavy secret and children in danger on the program for season 10

Composed once again of three double episodes, this new season by Léo Mattéï features three very different investigations carried out by the Brigade for the Protection of Minors in Marseille.

A child abducted from a shelter for women in distress, the outcome of a crime in a Provençal village involving a dark secret with the children of the village, and the rescue of a teenager who puts her life in danger during wild climbing sessions to exorcise a mysterious past.

So many thorny cases that Léo, Inès, Jonathan, Marion and Commissioner Daguerre will have to try to solve during this unprecedented season 10 which always gives pride of place to one of the fights that is most dear to Jean- Luc Reichmann: the protection of children.

“My fights, I remind you, it is obviously the difference, compared to me, compared to my stain, compared to my sister who is profoundly deaf handicapped”confides the star of Léo Matteï. “And it’s also the children, because the notion of transmission is essential for me. And because the children are the world of tomorrow. And these fights are more and more precise, more and more fine in the messages that we deploy in this season 10”.

“These three evenings are very complementary in my eyes, despite very different universes such as rural France or the world of sport, because Matteï’s mission is based on the fact that danger is everywhere. And there, really, in this season, we are on all types of dangers that can emerge from everywhere. All mixed up with a lot of humans”.

To accompany the messages he wishes to convey with the series he co-created with his wife Nathalie Lecoultre (also a director on Léo Mattéï), Jean-Luc Reichmann therefore wished to call on very special guests, and very appreciated by the public, for this new season.

The first two episodes, broadcast this evening on TF1, thus welcome Lorie Pester, Firmine Richard, Juliette Tresanini (Tomorrow belongs to us) and Rebecca Benhamour (Here everything begins), while episodes 3 and 4 see Jean-Luc Reichmann and Lola Dubini give the reply to Xavier Deluc, Estelle Lefébure, Jérémy Banster (Un Si Grand Soleil) and Stéphane Hénon (Plus belle la vie).

A nice line-up of guests which also includes Mimie Mathy and Philippe Bas (Profiling) who, in the form of a final bouquet, will close the procession of guests for this season 10 on the occasion of the last two episodes, which will be offered on Thursday 20 April on TF1.

“These are very popular personalities, carrying messages, that we have wanted to welcome to the series for a long time”explains Jean-Luc Reichmann to our microphone. “Actors who are both popular and sincere. And Léo Matteï is a really sincere series. There is no sensationalism, no pathos”.

New episodes that leave more room for comedy

In parallel with Matteï’s investigations, which remain charged with emotion and drama given that they always focus on children in danger, the production and Jean-Luc Reichmann also wanted to bring more humor to the whole, through the new brigade that formed around the hero in season 9, with recues such as Inès (Lola Dubini), Marion (Romane Portail) and Daguerre (Stomy Bugsy).

“With this series, we are getting closer and closer to viewers. This year, for example, we didn’t want violence, blood or murder. We preferred to both send messages, because that’s the goal and the DNA of the series, and at the same time to surprise with a brigade that is more and more united. And we added a good dose of humor”assures the star of the series, who also wears the cap of producer since the beginning of the adventure.

“This contribution of humor is what I’ve wanted for a long time. It obviously doesn’t go through the characters we know, like that of Lola Dubini. But also through an unexpected new confidant for Léo Matteï, who joins the team. It’s Maurice (laughs). I don’t want to say more, but he brings a nice touch of humor, I can’t wait for the public to discover him.”.

So, to discover Maurice, and all the guests of season 10 of Léo Matteï, go tonight at 9:10 p.m. on TF1.
