Fashion classic or dying trend: is leopard print still in?

Wherever you look: Leo. Countless items with a leopard print have been in stores for years. But is that really still in?

Leoprint – what woman doesn’t have a piece with this pattern in her closet? Everyone seems to love Leo. And if it’s not an entire pair of trousers, a jumper or a jacket in this eye-catching design, most people at least have a scarf, belt or other small accessory with an animal print at home.

After many, many years, this trend seems to be unbroken. And if you look around in the shops, you will always find a surprising number of pieces in leopard design. Has Leo become a perennial favorite or will this trend eventually die out? Is it still worth investing in Leo items or will they become unwearable in a few years?

We asked Guido Maria Kretschmer what Leoprint is all about. Is it really still in, why do people love it so much and will it perhaps disappear from the scene altogether?

Guido knows why Leo is so popular

For Guido it is clear: leo prints are in. Guido cites several reasons for the enormous popularity of leo. The first is the power that Leoprint radiates. In his opinion, Leo “one of the first trends, which humans always liked, because this animal power should pass to humans. Inside is one big desirethat is built into people. After an animal that is fast and dangerous and can also camouflage itself. That’s just fascinating.”

In addition, the imitation of fur is also the idea for the first pattern – a pattern that very natural, but at the same time very, very modern is. A big advantage of Leo also lies in his changeability and its adaptability. On the one hand there are many variations of leo in different shapes and colors and on the other hand the classic leo print goes with everything. Guido calls the mix that results from combining with leopard print “a controlled restlessness“.

And? Will Leoprint ever go again?

Leo has become an absolute classic for Guido. “He’s a classic that hasn’t been a ‘trend’ for a long time. Leo has just become a perennial favorite.”

So we don’t have to hold back on our next stroll through the shops when we fall madly in love with a leopard piece. There is a high probability that this piece will still be very popular in the years to come. A classic…
