Midday master since August 20, Stéphane sees nothing with one eye. On the set of 12 noon shots, he explained that he suffered from a very rare disease.
Stéphane continues his merry way on TF1. Since August 20 and the elimination of Jade, he has become the noon master of the 12 noon shots. And since then, he hasn’t stopped raising money! On the tray, the candidate explained to Jean-Luc Reichmann to suffer from a rare and disabling disease which prevents him from seeing properly out of one of his eyes. “I have a little problem with my eye. I contracted a virus from a very small catconfided Stéphane to the host of the show. He gave me cat scratch disease. It’s grafted onto my optic nerve, and I can’t see out of my right eye. Small cats are not immune to fleas. When they scratch, they transmit flea disease.” According to Top Santé, this disease is caused by a bacterium which “is transmitted from one cat to another by fleas”.
“The bacterium is mainly hosted in the oral cavity of cats and deposited during grooming on the coat and claws. All it takes is for the cat to scratch you and the bacteria is transmitted to humans”, added our colleagues. If this disease is in most cases benign, it can degenerate. In 5 to 10% of cases, infectious complications occur, especially in the eyes of patients, as is the case for Stéphane. “You shouldn’t have taboos. You have to go to people, make them understand that you have nothing to hide. I can’t see anything with my right eye, due to a virushe confided to Télé Loisirs. I don’t see why I won’t talk about it. It’s a way to raise awareness about this disease.” Despite this handicap, the midday master of 12 noon shots continues to amaze TF1 viewers.
Stéphane: what will he do with his winnings?
With the 12 strokes of noon, Stéphane discovers notoriety, as he confided to our colleagues. “We are in a bit of a lost region, and we are not used to having people on TV. Wherever I go, I am recognized and solicited. People congratulate me, encourage me. .., describes the candidate in the columns of Télé Loisirs. IThey are behind me. I give another image of our region, which is not given enough media coverage. What is also new for me is to be put forward, like a figurehead.” As for his earnings, Stéphane does not yet know exactly how he will spend them. “I will keep my feet on the ground. I bought a house on credit, it will probably help mehe assured. I have a car loan, and my children are going to start their studies.”
