This Thursday, June 2, cameras around the world will be focused on the United Kingdom and more precisely London, where Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee. Thus, the television channels produce special programs all day long. This is the case of TF1, which decided not to broadcast The 12 strokes of noon. And for good reason: from 9:10 a.m., the TF1 and LCI channels will be mobilized around this event. Anne-Claire Coudray and Gilles Bouleau will receive many guests who will bring their expertise on this subject.
Thereby, Jean-Luc Reichmann will be dethroned by Queen Elizabeth II. Even the news of 13 hourspresented by Marie-Sophie Lacarrau will be turned upside down by this event. But don’t worry, TF1 should broadcast two episodes of 12 noon shots on Friday June 3. A choice assumed by TF1 which has also signed an agreement with the BBC to bring viewers as close as possible to Queen Elizabeth II and these festivities. Of course, the continuous news channels, such as BFMTV and CNEWS will offer images of the event all day long.
Thursday June 2, 2022: the first day of the festivities
In London, the kick-off of the festivities will be given at 10 a.m. with the start of the Trooping the Color ceremony, the traditional military parade, two centuries old. Afterwards, 1450 soldiers, 400 musicians, 200 hair will come to parade to pay tribute to the 70 years of reign of Elizabeth II.The TF1 cameras will therefore try to be everywhere at the same time in order to bring Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee to life for all their spectators, as if they were in London.
