Les Arcs Film Festival 2022: all about the program for this edition chaired by Roschdy Zem


The 14th edition of Les Arcs Film Festival begins this Saturday December 10 and will end on Saturday 17. Discover the program and the highlights.

From December 10 to 17, the 14th edition of Les Arcs Film Festival takes place.

Actor and director Roschdy Zem will chair the Feature Film Jury made up of actress Jeanne Balibar, screenwriter and director Fanny Herrero (Ten percent, Funny), composer Florencia Di Concilio, Italian filmmaker Filippo Meneghetti (Deux) and actress Nadia Tereszkiewicz (Only Beasts, The Almond Trees).

They will be in charge of awarding the Crystal Arrow and deciding between 8 European feature films, including A Little Brother by Léonnor Serraille and Blind Willows, Sleeping Woman by Pierre Fôldes based on the work of Murakami.

Last year, Peter Kerekes’ drama 107 Mothers received the Crystal Arrow.

For her part, director Léa Mysius (The Five Devils) is at the head of the Short Film Jury made up of actresses Shirine Boutella (Papicha, Lupin), Céleste Brunnquell (Les Dazzled, In Therapy), journalist Jacques Kermabon, actor Sofian Khammes (La Nuée, Novembre) and the singer and actress Soko (La Danseuse). They will have to judge the 14 short films of the official competition.

As every year, the festival will be punctuated by various events for the public and professionals, including film debates and masterclasses.

Cédric Klapisch will thus be present on Thursday December 15 for an exceptional masterclass and the Belgian actress Veerle Baetens (Alabama Monroe, In the name of the Earth) will be the guest of honor at the Lab Women of Cinema masterclass on Wednesday December 14.

13 French feature films will also be presented in preview and the Playtime, Height and Oscar au ski selections will provide an overview of European cinematographies as well as screenings for the youngest (detailed in the article above) .
