Andréa Bescond decided to tell her story in her film The Tickles, aired at 9 p.m. on France 2 on Wednesday March 17, 2021. The 41-year-old dancer was sexually abused by a friend of her parents. He had assaulted other children.". His descent into hell began at this point: "I was not ready", she explained.

It wasn't until years later, in 2014, that Andréa Bescond wrote the screenplay for her play The Tickles or the Dance of Anger to present it at the Festival OFF in Avignon. Thanks to this work, (which was subsequently adapted for the cinema), she won a Molière of the best alone on stage.

Who is Andréa Bescond?

Born June 12, 1979 in Ploemeur, in Morbihan, Andréa Bescond started dancing at the age of 3. A student at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris, Andréa Bescond has also worked in many musicals such as The ten Commandments or Romeo and Juliet, from hate to love. Versatile, she then made his first steps on the boards at the end of the 2000s.

Andréa Bescond worked as a couple on The Tickles, which she produced with her fellow actor and director Eric Métayer. Together since 2008, they have had two children, Anton and Juno. Their adaptation of the play written by Andréa Bescond received a great critical reception: after being presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018, the film received a César for Best First Feature in 2019.
