"Les Enfoirés": this historical figure who has just announced his departure from the troop: Femme Actuelle The MAG

Every year, the Enfoirés concert is an important event for the Restos du Cœur. Friday March 5, TF1 broadcast the 2021 edition of this great show which allows the association to provide meals to the beneficiaries, more and more numerous. But because of the global Covid-19 pandemic, this concert was a bit special and required a very strict health protocol: this is how the forty artists performed without an audience. A radical decision but necessary since the sale of a CD or DVD makes it possible to finance 17 meals. And if the troupe sees new kids coming every year, there are stars, like Lara Fabian, Hélène Ségara and Muriel Robin, who have not participated in the Enfoirés concert for years. Friday March 5, 2021, on the antenna of BFM Lyon, another celebrity, who participated in 28 of the 33 shows of the Enfoirés, announced that he too had intend to leave the troop.

Michael Jones leaves the Enfoirés but remains close to the Restos du Cœur

He is one of the pioneers of the Enfoirés. A great friend of Jean-Jacques Goldman, Michael Jones could therefore no longer sing for the Restos du Cœur. "This is my last participation in the Enfoirés but not my last participation in the Restos du Cœur", he confided. At 69, the Franco-Welsh singer believes that there is no longer his place with Zazie, Slimane, Vitaa or Mimie Mathy : "I told myself that I would be more useful elsewhere. Now there are enough young talents who are there". But out of the question for him to cut himself off from the association for which he has given his precious time for a long time: "Next year, I plan to do a tour of the Restos du Cœur and go and play for the volunteers, where people come to eat". After the departure of Jean-Jacques Goldman in 2016, that of Michael Jones marks a new turning point in the history of Les Enfoirés concerts.
