Les Numériques inaugurates a comparison of steamers

The Calor Access Steam Care (right) tops our comparison of steamers for its inauguration, ahead of the SteamOne S-Travel (left) and the Philips Steam&Go (center).

If all it takes is a few creases to lose the chic of an outfit, eliminating them is not easy for everyone, especially with an iron. However, steamers try to lighten this chore a little. Ready in a few seconds, they do not require an ironing board and can be used on an outfit just before putting it on, directly in the dressing room, the bedroom or even when traveling for the most compact.

Of course, not all models are equal, but we have just launched a comparison to help you find the garment steamer that will best meet your needs. Three models have already passed through our laboratory, where they underwent various tests in order to control their heating time, their steam flow, their autonomy or the temperature of their soleplate. In addition, we cross-reference these measurements with the results obtained from steaming tests on various fabrics in order to establish an overall score, without forgetting of course to take into account the ease of use and the accessories provided.

For the time being, Calor Access Steam Care takes first place in our comparison thanks to its versatility and good performance, but Philips Steam&Go does not come far behind. He too did very well on our technical tests, but he suffers from the small tank supposed to make him easier to transport. The SteamOne S-Travel brings up the rear, despite its ease of handling and its remarkable autonomy. This ranking should obviously evolve with the addition of other models to our comparison. And several are already waiting in our stock…
