Les SEGPA: a Star Academy winner composed the music for the film


The comedy Les SEGPA was released in our theaters on Wednesday April 20. The soundtrack of the film adapted from the successful web-series is composed by a winner of the Star Academy.

The feature film adapted from the successful web-series (1.99 million subscribers on their Youtube channel), Les SEGPA was released in our dark rooms last Wednesday.

Co-produced by Cyril Hanouna, the film by the Boughéraba brothers follows students from SEGPA (Adapted General and Professional Education Sections) at a high school in Marseille. The latter are expelled from their establishment. To their great surprise, they integrate the prestigious Franklin D. Roosevelt college.

The Principal, reluctant to see the reputation of his school deteriorate, imagines a scheme to dismiss them while keeping the helpers. As they savor their new life, form friendships and become increasingly popular, the SEGPAs discover the Principal’s project. They then decide to do everything to thwart his schemes…

Released in preview on April 13 in Marseille, the feature film has so far accumulated 210,452 admissions, placing itself at the top of the admissions of the 1st day in France.

Mosiman

The music of SEGPA is indeed signed Quentin Mosimann, winner of the seventh season of musical tele-hook. After winning a gold record for his album Duel in 2008, he embarked on a career as a DJ.

In 2011, he became coach of the show The Voice in Belgium. Two years later, he hosts the Party Fun program every Saturday evening on Fun Radio, and in 2015 was in the top 100 of the best DJs in the world.

Besides electro, Quentin Mosimann (now renamed Mosimann) is also a composer. He notably composed the album ladies for Grand Corps Malade. He also accompanies the singer on the piano and voice on the title ladies. Released in September 2020, the album ranked No. 1 in sales and is triple platinum with 350,000 copies sold.

Mosimann has also composed and arranged pieces for Superbus (Silencio) and Slimane. Les SEGPA is his first participation in a feature film soundtrack.
