The app Telegram wanted to start 2024 with a brand new update, rich in new features and other optimizations.
Described as “ the biggest update in Telegram history », the latest version of the application is now available for many platforms (Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, etc.). On the menu: a redesign and optimization of voice calls, an animation style “ Thanos Snap » and the best when it comes to bot management.
Telegram gets a makeover for 2024
Launched (a little) over ten years ago, the Telegram application aims to be secure messaging, used by several hundred million users around the world. In order to get 2024 off to a flying start, the application is getting a makeover, with a major update.
By downloading version 10.5.0 of Telegram, users will be able to benefit from an application with a refreshed interface, particularly with regard to calls, now with animations and other dynamic wallpapers. The developers promise an interface that requires fewer resources, which translates into lower power consumption (and therefore better battery life).
Added to this is the correction of “ hundreds of bugs and interface issues ”, without forgetting an improvement in call quality. Further improvements to connection and audio quality are planned for 2024.
New features, optimizations and better autonomy
That’s not all, since the new version of Telegram also includes a new disappearance animation (when you delete a message), previously tested on iOS, now also available on Android.
Telegram also claims to have optimized its bot system, which can now react to messages and manage reactions, quotes and links, send replies to other exchanges or topics, and much more.
During the summer, to celebrate its tenth anniversary, Telegram introduced Stories to its ecosystem. Stories which benefit from increased control compared to the competition, with the possibility of modifying them retrospectively, but also of choosing the duration of display, from 6 to 48 hours.
For Telegram, it is about regularly updating itself and meeting the needs of its large community of users, while competing effectively with its long-standing rival: WhatsApp.
