Letitia Wright was injured in a stunt for the sequel to “Black Panther” – she even had to go to hospital for a short time.

Letitia Wright (27) was temporarily hospitalized after an accident while filming the “Black Panther” sequel.

She “sustained minor injuries while filming a stunt for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’. She is currently being treated at a local hospital and is expected to be released soon,” a Disney spokesman said in a statement according to “The Hollywood Reporter”. Wright has now been released.

Production plan not in default

The extent of their injuries was not disclosed, but a stunt rope system is believed to have been involved in the incident. The current production schedule for the film should not be delayed as a result.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the sequel to the 2018 Marvel film, which starred the late Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020). Ryan Coogler (35) is directing again. Not much is known about the plot of the sequel, which is due to hit theaters in July 2022. Wright will once again be seen in the role of T’Challa’s younger, brilliant sister, who develops new technology for Wakanda.
