A funny situation that ended in a nice moment of complicity. This Wednesday, May 4, the queen Letizia from Spain was in Mérida, the capital of Extremadura, in the southwest of the country. The wife of King Felipe VI went there to preside over the 30and council meeting of the royal board on disability, of which she is the honorary president. She also took the opportunity to hand over the “Queen Letizia Prize 2021″.
These prizes, which therefore bear his name, promote the rights of people with disabilities, their social inclusion, equal opportunities, their rehabilitation and the prevention of disabilities. They thus reward people, companies or entities – in particular cities – from Spain or Latin America for their actions in these areas.
An inexpensive outfit
For this event, Queen Letizia had chosen to approach a new two-tone dress round neck, sleeveless and trapeze skirt. Underlined at the waist by a belt, the outfit, quite original, presents, on the front as in the back, a white side and a black. Everything was matched with black pumps and a bag.
But when it came time to present a prize to one of the winners, the monarch’s wife had a funny surprise. While awarding a special mention to Inmaculada Vivas Tesón, a professor of law at the University of Seville, for her professional career in the work of people with disabilities, as well as for her academic and research career in the legal field, Letizia from Spain got realized that she was wearing the same dress as her. The Spanish magazine !Hola!, which noted that the outfit, from the brand Mangoonly cost €49.99, indicated that it was with a smile and a lot of humor that the sovereign reacted. She did not hesitate to hug the winner when she presented her with her prize.
