Let's dance before the corona? Austria pauses broadcast

The fans are worried – especially after the Austrian counterpart "Dancing Stars" has been put on hold. The reason: In Vienna, all indoor events with more than 100 people have been prohibited due to the corona virus. Is Germany moving now? The viewers are very worried. Comments like "Let's Dance" is unimaginable without live viewers, because the dancers "live" from it or "Please don't! We got tickets after three years, ”is what you read all the time on social media.

Will the stars dance in front of empty ranks?

Let's dance without applauding spectators? The fans can be relieved, because there is no all-clear for the German format. The live shows will take place – with a studio audience. So it says in a statement from RTL.

At the moment, the shows are planned as normal with an audience. We are constantly monitoring the situation. The decision as to whether events can be held lies with the local authorities and offices. Should these instructions issue, we or the production company will of course implement them.

In addition, they promise to adhere to the hygiene guidelines in particular so that the risk of infection is minimized. In order to be able to guarantee this, "at the shows with the audience we adhere to the recommended preventive measures such as active information about measures to protect against infection such as hand hygiene, keeping a distance or cough and cold hygiene", the statement continues.

The fans and spectators can look forward to cheering on their favorite couple on Friday at 8:15 p.m. – on the show, but of course also behind the screens.
