Two things are infinite: the potential of some “Let’s Dance” stars and Jorge González’ outfit ingenuity.

What did the latest edition of “Let’s Dance” on RTL (and RTL+) has everything to offer: a gaudy 80s revival, a hard-fought boys-versus-girls battle and, as always, a dramatic exit. But one man was preparing to steal the show from everything and everyone: Jorge González (55). In the foreseeable future he will have a problem topping his flashy outfits.

As if a member of the royal guard had carefully draped a peaked cap on the bearskin hood, based on the model of Pietro Lombardi – that’s how Jorge sat next to his perplexed jury colleagues. Spectators just processed this sight when the first and extremely successful celebrity dance was already over. Former gymnasts Philipp Boy (35) and Patricija Ionel (28) cleared 25 points and created a small sensation: Joachim Llambi (58) gave them nine points, one more than Motsi Mabuse (41) and Turmfrisur-Jorge.

The level rises like Jorge’s hairdo

After the solid dancing mediocrity of the stars Ali Güngörmüş (46), Chryssanthi Kavazi (34) and Sally Özcan, two competitors really got going. First, mentalist Timon Krause (28) and dance partner Ekaterina Leonova (35) collected a strong 26 points – even the mind reader did not see that coming. Immediately afterwards, ex-Bachelorette Sharon Battiste (31) and Christian Polanc (44) even scored a 28-point performance. Meanwhile, the 22 points danced by Twitch star Jens “Knossi” Knossalla (36) with his partner Isabel Edvardsson (40) felt like 30 points. So far, he has been considered a troubled, but rather awkward problem child – not so this evening.

Speaking of 30 points: Model Anna Ermakova (22) and Valentin Lusin (35) had cleared them the previous week and thus finally underpinned their status as season favorites. However, the pressure was correspondingly high in this episode. Like an old dancing hand, Ermakova not only withstood this, but delivered once again: Just scratched short of perfection, there were also 28 points here. Bachelorette and Becker’s daughter shared first place in the issue.

Contrasting program with handball players Michael “Mimi” Kraus (39) and Mariia Maksina (25). Even Motsi had problems finding positive aspects of the dancing couple – with ten points they brought up the rear of the fourth episode.

Boys vs girls don’t matter

All the more important was the special discipline of the evening, in which the male stars had to compete against the female stars and in this way could get valuable extra points – actually. Because both teams delivered and the jury therefore came to a tie of nine points each, boys versus girls had absolutely no effect on the result – only the time of the announcement was pushed back by a solid 45 minutes.

But the jury points also played a minor role this Friday. Because although Younes Zarou (25) and Malika Dzumaev (31) were able to get almost twice as many points as “Mimi” together with Mariia, it wasn’t enough for the couple in the end – despite probably the best season performance.
