Cheyenne Ochsenknecht is surprisingly eliminated

Successful return for Lilly to Sayn-Wittgenstein. She’s one lap ahead. Cheyenne Ochsenknecht, on the other hand, has to go surprisingly.
A successful comeback: After Hardy Krüger jr. (53) tested positive for Corona again and will therefore no longer appear on the show, Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein (49) got a second chance on the “Let’s Dance” floor. At the end of the evening it was clear that the previously eliminated celebrity candidate this time, despite difficult conditions in the RTL dance show (also on RTL+) comes one round further. Instead, Cheyenne Ochsenknecht (21) surprisingly dropped out. The jury members Joachim Llambi (57), Motsi Mabuse (40) and Jorge González (54) judged the dances shown by the participating celebrities.
“Are we in the final yet?”
With Michelle’s (50) and Christian Polanc’s (43) Cha-Cha-Cha, there was a rather cautious start to the show, which was themed “Born in”. The celebrities should perform with their professional dance partners to songs from the year of their birth. However, not only Mabuse was “a bit disappointed” and so it was only enough for 11 points. Caroline Bosbach (32) scored just as many points with Valentin Lusin (35). Her salsa looked “danced” and “learned” – and not like an attitude to life, as Llambi described it.
This was followed by a first highlight with a Viennese waltz by Sarah Mangione (31) and Vadim Garbuzov (34). According to González, the actress presented herself as very feminine and sensitive. She was able to score 22 points and was almost perplexed: “I’m surprised that it worked.” Mike Singer (22) and Christina Luft (32) then showed a clear personal improvement. “Everything better than this number from last week,” said Mabuse. Although Singer still had to improve in some areas, there were 17 points for his Cha-Cha-Cha.
“Are we in the final yet?” the juror asked herself about René Casselly’s (25) and Kathrin Menzinger’s (33) Paso Doble. No wonder that the trio got 25 points after an inspiring performance in the second regular show. Meanwhile, Sayn-Wittgenstein had to contend with particularly difficult conditions. She was on the one hand for Krüger jr. jumped in and was only able to train for two days. On the other hand, she could not celebrate her comeback with her dance partner Andrzej Cibis (34) because he had also tested positive for Corona. Instead, Jimmie Surles (44) jumped in at short notice. Unfortunately, the Rumba also showed that the two had little time for training, González explained. Therefore, it was only enough for 7 points.
Janin Ullmann experiences her “personal hell”
Amira Pocher (29) and Massimo Sinató (41) scored 17 points with a Slowfox. That was not only better than last week, but also quite surprising after Llambi and González had previously judged quite harshly. According to Llambi, the jive by moderator Riccardo Basile (30) and Isabel Edvardsson (39) seems “played”, but there were 15 points – again an improvement on the previous week.
Since professional dancer Malika Dzumaev (31) had also tested positive in the past few days, Timur Ülker (32) competed with Patricija Ionel (27) this time. “It wasn’t your dance today,” said Llambi. Accordingly, it was only enough for 11 points. During a jive, Janin Ullmann (40) experienced her “personal hell” with Zsolt Sándor Cseke (34), as she explained. With the exception of two small problems, however, according to Mabuse, “everything else was great” and so the jury gave it an almost heavenly 22 points.
The trio was less satisfied with 15 points over a rumba by Cheyenne Ochsenknecht and Evgeny Vinokurov (31). González advised that she was on the right track and shouldn’t be so scared. Mathias Mester (35) and Renata Lusin (34) presented the last dance and thus another highlight of the evening. The Paso Doble was “really good”, enthused Mabuse and gave her two colleagues a great 25 points. Bastian Bielendorfer (37) and his dance partner Ekaterina Leonova (34) were not there on Friday evening. The comedian is struggling with a cold, as RTL announced before the live broadcast.
Before the final decision was made, many viewers had probably assumed that Sayn-Wittgentstein in particular would have a difficult time. Instead, Ülker, Ochsenknecht and Basile had to worry. Finally, after more than four hours of live show, it was clear that the model had to surprisingly leave the show. The moderator duo Daniel Hartwich (43) and Victoria Swarovski (28) did not expect that either.
