“Let’s Dance” favorite Gabriel Kelly gives up smoking: “Otherwise it will simply be difficult with your fitness”
Not only for Mark Keller, 59, who was eliminated due to injury, Gabriel Kelly, 22, is THE “top favorite” for the “Let’s Dance” trophy. In the quarterfinals on Friday, May 10th, the son of Angelo Kelly, 42, secured first place with his dance partner Malika Dzumaev, 33, and got full points. One thing is certain: Gabriel gives everything for a possible victory. This also means that he had to free himself from a annoying addiction forever.
“I don’t smoke anymore,” the “Let’s Dance” candidate reveals to RTL and is happy: “I think I’m fitter than ever.” He has now lost seven to eight kilos. Gabriel Kelly made the decision to stop smoking before the start of the 17th season. In an interview with RTL, he explains his decision as follows: “If I want to do it properly now, I have to stop smoking. Otherwise it will simply be difficult with my fitness.”

Lulu: “This is a dream come true for me”
There was great disappointment when Lulu, 32, was eliminated at the end of the last “Let’s Dance” broadcast. She is now all the more pleased about the second chance that the surprising exit of Mark Keller, 59, has given her. Because she can look forward to a very special show. For the first time in the history of the popular dance show, “Let’s Dance” will take place on Friday, May 10th at 8:15 p.m. in the Musical Dome Cologne on the set of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical”. After her elimination, you almost had the feeling that she was a little relieved. However, she wasn’t able to rest for long from the exertion and hard training of the last few weeks. Because after Tony Bauer, 28, left due to health reasons, she returned and delivered her best dance and a “Boogie Woogie” duel to date after just one night shift.
In her Instagram story, the motorcycle influencer explains why her exit felt like a liberation. “I’m feeling better than ever before. I enjoy, I laugh, I love everything about it. Tony was always so relaxed and took everything with humor. Somehow I like the attitude,” she explains to a picture of herself and dance partner Valentin Lusin , 37, during her “Magic Moment” dance from last show. “I used to cry a lot and put so much pressure on myself. It just blew away. I just feel like I’ve really arrived now [sic]”, is her nice conclusion. She even “missed training with Valentin a little bit” during the four days of breaks, she admits with a wink.

“Let’s Dance” star Gabriel Kelly hardly has any contact with his aunt Maite
They actually have an incredible amount in common: They come from a (famous) family, love to sing and have both impressed on the “Let’s Dance” dance floor. Nevertheless, Maite Kelly, 44, and her nephew Gabriel, 22, are not as close to each other as expected: “Maite and I are not particularly close. We see each other at family parties, chat and eat together a little, and then we see each other again at the next party, with so much family, you’re lucky if you can even remember everyone’s names!” reveals the musician in an interview with “Bild”.
But there is no bad blood between the two. On the contrary: Maite really raves about her brother Angelo Kelly’s eldest son, 42, and his dancing skills: “If his craftsmanship is the way he handles his music, then it will be a wonderful journey for him,” she explains in the podcast ” Let’s Talk About Dance” by professional dancer Christian Polanc, 45. “Let’s Dance” stars Christina and Luca Hänni almost didn’t find each other
They are a dream couple, expecting their first child together – and wherever they appear publicly together as a couple, you can feel the deep love between them: The “Let’s Dance” stars Christina, 34, and Luca Hänni, 29, have their soulmates in each other found. But this happiness was almost nipped in the bud right from the start. The reason was the professional dancer’s sudden doubts. The five-year age difference bothered her. “Of course I thought about whether we were in the same stage of life,” she explains in the current episode of her podcast “Don’t worry, be Hänni” in a conversation with her loved one. At that time she was 30 years old. “You slowly know who you are, you don’t want to try yourself again.”
Luca also still remembers the emotional turmoil of his sweetheart. “You were worried at the very beginning: Is he the same distance as me or maybe he wants something completely different?” Not easy fare for the Swiss: “I almost felt a little offended, I remember that. ‘Does she now think I’m too young?'” Christina’s concerns were so strong that she hardly gave her love a chance. “I almost torpedoed it during that time. I almost ruined everything because I suddenly closed like a wall. Because I said, I’m definitely too old for you and you’re too young.”
But Luca remained stubborn and found a sensitive way to ease the worries of the woman of his dreams. “You told me one evening: ‘I don’t care what you say or what you do, you won’t get rid of me that easily. At least I won’t make it that easy for you,'” Christina remembers. “And those were exactly the right words at the time. You did that very, very well.” He obviously did not disappoint his current wife and mother of his unborn child.
