In the first regular edition of the new "Let's Dance" season, Vanessa Neigert had to hang up her dance shoes again.

After the introductory show, "Let's Dance" started in the regular editions of the current season on March 5th. For the first of a total of 14 celebrity candidates, the dance adventure on RTL (also on TVNow) ended immediately. Singer Vanessa Neigert (28) could not convince the jury, as always consisting of Joachim Llambi (56), Motsi Mabuse (39) and Jorge González (53), as well as the audience.

Pure joie de vivre right from the start

Already at the beginning of the broadcast, presenter Lola Weippert (24) and her dance partner Christian Polanc (42) whirled across the floor in a quickstep with "pure joie de vivre" and was able to score 19 points. But the achievements that the candidates were supposed to present were still pretty mixed. Auma Obama (61), the half-sister of Barack Obama (59), for example, was "very nervous" and reached twelve points. Singer Mickie Krause (50), the self-proclaimed "joker in 'Let's Dance'", was only able to score seven points with his cha-cha-cha for "Party Rock Anthem". But it actually made for fun. "Don't choose the best, choose me," he urged the audience.

Singer Vanessa Neigert (28, nine points) and Jan Hofer (69, ten points) were also unable to convince, even if the former "Tagesschau" spokesman had at least "good moments" according to González. "I'm definitely not going to be a dancer," said Kai Ebel (56, ten points), which the sports reporter then underpinned with his Quickstep. "You can't speak of elegance," confirmed Llambi.

"You have an energy, Chico …"

Singer Ilse DeLange (43, 18 points), her colleague Senna Gammour (41, 14 points), ex- "Prince Charming" Nicolas Puschmann (29, 18 points) and professional boxer Simon Zachenhuber (23, 19 points) did much better . In the midfield especially Erol Sander (52, 18 points) was able to convince. "One has the feeling that you are the tango right now", Mabuse praised the actor and González enthused: "You have an energy, Chico …"

The three other celebrities should quickly become the favorites of the season. "Great couple, great dance," said González about the performance of Kim Riekenberg (26) and Pasha Zvychaynyy. Like the model, actress Valentina Pahde (26), who had goose bumps in Mabuse, got 23 points. Most of the points, namely 24 points, went to Rurik Gislason (33) and Renata Lusin (33) on Friday evening. The former soccer player didn't have to make any effort, as he and his dance partner were already one round further with a direct ticket.
