As in previous years, the pros are allowed to do it alone a week after the finale of “Let’s Dance”. But this time there are new rules.

As in previous years, “The Great Professional Challenge” will round off the current season of “Let’s Dance” in 2023. Without the ballast of more or less talented celebrities, the tournament dancers involved in the show can show their skills. Compared to previous years, the “Pro Challenge” from “Let’s Dance” comes this Friday (8:15 p.m. on RTL and RTL+) with a few changes.

Three couples are allowed to play twice

The most important change announced by RTL: The dancing couples have to go twice. However, not all. First, the randomly drawn couples appear once each as usual. Then there is an interim decision. The three duos with the best rating advance. As usual, the audience decides.

The three winning couples must then all dance to the same song. You can design the choreography yourself. They can also decide which dance they put on the floor to the given music.

Victory in “Pro Challenge” is upgraded

Also new is an upgrade of the victory in the “Professional Challenge”. So far, part of the winning couple has been able to choose a celebrity for the next season.

This year both winners get a jury point, which they can redeem in the next episodes up to the fourth show. In addition, the winning couple has the honor of choreographing the opening dance of the 2024 introductory show.

18 professionals perform in nine pairs on May 26, 2023. These include Ekaterina Leonova (36), Massimo Sinató (42) and Christina Luft (33). There will definitely be a new winner. Renata Lusin (35), who won the previous two years with different partners, is not there.
