After several Corona failures, all “Let’s Dance” celebrities were back at the start on Friday. But two of the stars had to say goodbye.

First nobody goes, then two! After not a single celebrity was eliminated for the first time in the history of “Let’s Dance” last week, this Friday evening on RTL (also on RTL+) caught two stars at the same time. Both Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (49) and Riccardo Basile (30) will no longer dance in the future.

No fire at the “German danced salsa”

Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Caroline Bosbach (32) and Timur Ülker (32) had to pause last week because of positive corona tests. Since the three stars had recovered, this time the full squad of celebrity candidates could compete in the “Boys vs. Girls” special. At the beginning of the show, Amira Pocher (29) and Massimo Sinató (41) swept across the floor with a successful jive. Pocher is developing in the right direction and no longer just relies on her “hotness”, noted juror Motsi Mabuse (40).

Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg could not keep up with Pocher’s 22 points, despite a significant increase. “Much happier, much livelier than last time,” commented Mabuse’s colleague Joachim Llambi (57). The 49-year-old was able to more than double her score with her dance partner Andrzej Cibis (34) with 16 points compared to the previous show. A Viennese waltz by Mike Singer (22) and Christina Luft (32) earned the singer one point less. The moderation duo Daniel Hartwich (43) and Victoria Swarovski (28) found the idea strong, but Llambi, Mabuse and Jorge González (54) obviously didn’t see it that way.

According to Llambi, Latin American fire could not be seen in the “German danced salsa” by Riccardo Basile and Isabel Edvardsson (39). He was “a nice guy, but the bite is missing,” said the juror. So there were only 13 points. The moving contemporary by Sarah Mangione (31) and Vadim Garbuzov (34), on the other hand, gave Mabuse goosebumps – and the highlight of the evening. The actress was able to record 30 points. Singer Michelle (50) and Christian Polanc (43) scored 19 points with their jive. She was “finally not as excited as always,” González noted.

This celebrity was “mega hot”!

The jury gave Timur Ülkers and Malika Dzumaevs (31) Tango a good 24 points. González in particular was impressed. The actor was “mega hot” and the dancer had never been so sexy. “Big number, lots of action, fully pulled through,” praised Llambi then Mathias Mester (35). His salsa with Renata Lusin (34) was worth 29 points to the jury. “I’m thrilled,” said Mabuse.

Bastian Bielendorfer (37) showed a personal best with Ekaterina Leonova (34). While Mabuse and González accordingly saw a slight improvement in him, Llambi only said: “I don’t want to destroy it again.” 9 points. As with Basile, Llambi did not see much passion from Caroline Bosbach afterwards either. The jury therefore awarded only a mediocre 16 points for her tango with Valentin Lusin (35).

Then this year’s co-favorites of the juror had their appearance. Janin Ullmann (40) with Zsolt Sándor Cseke (34) and René Casselly (25) with Regina Luca (33) each scored 26 points. According to González, Ullmann’s samba was “sexy, light”. Mabuse thought Casselly’s Rumba was “absolutely sensational” – after all, he and Luca only had a few hours for their training, since his usual dance partner Kathrin Menzinger (33) failed at short notice due to a positive corona test.

Full parquet at the special

Before the decision was to be made, the well-established “Boys vs. Girls” special was pending. Here it quickly became clear that the “girls” would not outdo the “boys”. The candidates were “not a team”, said Llambi and González also saw the men in front. “The truth hurts because the boys are right,” Mabuse agreed with her colleagues – 8 additional points for the men, 7 for the women. Casselly also got another point because he had danced it the previous week.

The moment of truth then struck for two dancing couples, since no celebrity had left the show the previous week. Caroline Bosbach and Bastian Bielendorfer also had to tremble, but Riccardo Basile and Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg had to say goodbye, who had to go for the second time. She had previously retired but was in place to replace Hardy Krüger jr. (53) jumped in, who could not show up because of positive corona tests.
