Sophia Thiel also has to miss out: Like Tillman Schulz and Mark Keller, she cannot take part in today’s “Let’s Dance” finale.
This year’s final of “Let’s Dance” will take place in Cologne on Friday evening (RTL, 8:15 p.m., or on RTL+). According to the successful show’s good tradition, all of the celebrities and dance couples from the season take part again at the end. This year, however, the field of celebrities who have already been eliminated is thinning out. Fitness influencer Sophia Thiel (29) has also cancelled her participation in the grand finale.
Positive conclusion to the “Let’s Dance” period
“Hey guys, I’ve been really sick and have been laid up for a few days … Unfortunately, I can’t be at the ‘Let’s Dance’ final today,” writes Sophia on Instagram. She wants to get back in touch when she feels better. Thiel took part in “Let’s Dance” this year together with professional dance partner Alexandru Ionel (29). After a few successful performances, the two of them called it quits six weeks ago. The influencer, who became known primarily through her fitness videos, nevertheless drew a positive conclusion for herself at the time. “I would have loved to keep dancing with Alex, but the gratitude definitely outweighs the sadness. I have just taken so much away with me personally,” she said at the time, concluding her “Let’s Dance” experience for the time being.
Wosnitza, Kelly and Soost fight for title
Thiel is the third celebrity to miss today’s final. Before her, “Lion’s Den” investor Tillman Schulz (34) and actor Mark Keller (59) had to cancel due to injury. No big deal for the three final couples, who will give it their all in the fight for the dazzling disco ball trophy: Detlef Soost (53) with his partner Ekaterina “Ekat” Leonova (37), Gabriel Kelly (22) and Malika Dzumaev (33) and sports presenter Jana Wosnitza (30) and Vadim Garbuzov (37) will give it their all this evening for the title of “Dancing Star 2024.”
