The field of participants in “Let’s Dance” will be further thinned out. A celebrity also had to pack his bags in the seventh episode of the dance show.

In the seventh “Let’s Dance” show on Friday evening (April 23, RTL and via TVNow) “Love Week” was proclaimed. So there were fiery dances and hot rhythms on the program. The remaining eight dance couples had to give everything – but in the end it was over for a celebrity.

Auma Obama (60) and Andrzej Cibis (33) started with a samba. The jury, consisting of Joachim Llambi (56), Motsi Mabuse (40) and Jorge González (53), liked the good performance with a lot of energy, but above all Llambi saw a lot of room for improvement and awarded very strict four points. With seven points each from Mabuse and González, that made 18 points.

This has never happened before

The second appearance was made by boxer Simon Zachenhuber (22), who put a salsa on the floor with Patricija Belousova (26), but only achieved 18 points that could be improved. Actress Valentina Pahde (26) and her dance partner Valentin Lusin (34) then made it worlds better. They convinced the jury with the “best Viennese waltz ever” (Mabuse) and cleared away the full number of points – and thus set a record. Never in the history of the show has there been 30 counters for a Viennese waltz.

Moderator Lola Weippert (25) and Christian Polanc (42) then had the thankless task of at least approximately maintaining the level after this memorable performance. But her rumba was “not danced to the end” (González) and so she only got 19 points. Musician Ilse DeLange (43) had to take a break due to an injury. The good thing about it: You have not been able to retire. So it was up to ex-daytime announcer Jan Hofer (69) and Christina Luft (31) to present an appealing slow waltz. That didn’t really work: twelve points, at least more than in the previous week.

Fan darling and favorite Rúrik Gíslason (33) and Renata Lusin (33) got the mood much more pumping with a cha-cha-cha afterwards. Clear 30 points. “Prince Charming” Nicolas Puschmann (30) and Vadim Garbuzov (33) finished the individual dances. In short: A good Samba, which lacked structure: 23 points.

After the jury dances, a celebrity has to go

It continued with the jury team dance. “Team Motsi” consisted of Auma Obama, Jan Hofer and actually Ilse DeLange, who, as mentioned, couldn’t dance, but at least supported her team with a short vocal interlude. It got a benevolent 15 out of a possible 20 points. “Team Jorge” was the sporty male duo with Rúrik Gíslason and Simon Zachenhuber. A wild hit: 16 points. “Team Llambi” was made up of Valentina Pahde, Lola Weippert and Nicolas Puschmann. Lots of show, well danced: 16 points.

Then it finally got down to business. For a celebrity, the “Let’s Dance” adventure should come to an end this evening. Lola Weippert and again Jan Hofer had to tremble. In the end, it hit the former news broadcaster.
