After the traditional Discofox marathon, the eighth episode of “Let’s Dance” ended for Nicolas Puschmann – a shock for the jury.

The next celebrity is dancing from the floor: As usual, the eighth live show of “Let’s Dance” on RTL also said goodbye and TV Now another candidate on April 30th. This time it caught “Prince Charming” Nicolas Puschmann (30), who was actually one of the favorites. That was therefore anything but foreseeable and a shock for the candidate and the jurors Joachim Llambi (56), Motsi Mabuse (40) and Jorge González (53).

This candidate belongs on Broadway

Puschmann completed the first dance of the evening. His quickstep was “musically simply top”, as Mabuse confirmed. No wonder that the jury gave it 27 points, almost the maximum number of points. Moderator Lola Weippert (25) then showed, according to Llambi, a Charleston that was “qualitatively better” than her other performances – which also earned her 27 points. Then a Paso Doble from Barack Obamas (59) half-sister Auma Obama (61) was on the program. She danced “with pride” and was “always so strong”, said González, but it was only enough for 19 points.

Ilse DeLange (43), who returned after an injury to her foot, showed a contemporary, which earned her 24 points and the praise of the jury, but Llambi had “stomach ache” when he saw that the ailing singer was facing much more challenging dances. Former professional soccer player Rúrik Gíslason (33) showed a samba that the juror thought was “upper class” at many points – and won 26 points.

Professional boxer Simon Zachenhuber (22), who, according to Mabuse, “put a lot of effort” into his rumba, scored 22 points. Before the annual Discofox marathon continued, actress Valentina Pahde (26) decided to dance with a Charleston. For the highlight of the evening, despite a small mistake, I earned 27 points. “You just deliver,” said Llambi, while Mabuse would like to see the celebrity dancer directly on Broadway.

New in “Let’s Dance”

The recently retired party star Mickie Krause (50), who accompanied the Discofox marathon live with his songs, then made a premiere on “Let’s Dance”. Gradually, a celebrity and his dance partner dropped out, and the winner was able to earn ten additional points. Lola Weippert became the Discofox queen after around seven minutes, who thus succeeded Lili Paul-Roncalli (22), who had won the crown last year.

Weippert led Gíslason, Pahde and Puschmann, but as always the audience had the last word. And this decision caused incredulous looks, not only from Puschmann. Even Mabuse, González and Llambi, who immediately afterwards rushed to the eliminated co-favorite, was clearly shocked. Even the moderators, Victoria Swarovski (27) and Daniel Hartwich (42), could hardly believe it. There are now four weeks until the finale of this year’s season. Until then, the “Prince Charming” will be followed by a few more celebrities – and maybe there will be more surprises as well.
