After the tenth live show of “Let’s Dance”, the semi-finals have been decided. It wasn’t enough for Auma Obama.

Five celebrities danced in “Let’s Dance” on RTL and TVNow on Friday evening to make it to the semi-finals, but it wasn’t enough for Auma Obama (61). She dropped out on the tenth live show of the 14th season, which consisted of couple and trio dances.

Obama is nervous

“I’m in the quarter-finals, I wouldn’t have thought that,” said the author Auma Obama in the single player before her first opening dance with Andrzej Cibis (33). The subsequent quick step also showed why. The jury around Joachim Llambi (56), Motsi Mabuse (40) and Jorge González (53) was not impressed and gave only 19 points. Mabuse liked “the concept and the storytelling”, but also said: “We’re in the quarter-finals. Please, please, please! The little mistakes.” It was because of the nervousness, said Obama, Llambi did not accept that and criticized the “basic craftsmanship”.

Boxers Simon Zachenhuber (22) and Patricija Belousova (25) then tried to show that they had trained hard together and danced a samba. The jury couldn’t think of more positive feedback than “full commitment, full carrot” (Llambi). “This samba was like a spaghetti Bolognese,” said Mabuse and laughingly called the performance “a creative samba”. Llambi and Gonzaléz joined the scathing criticism apologetically. The jury awarded 16 points.

Clear favorite trio

Footballers Rúrik Gíslason (33) and Renata Lusin (33) then did better with their Paso Doble, the jury was really excited: Gonzaléz thought it was “mega”, Mabuse “terrific” and even Llambi “had fun” because finally Gíslason “got it” – the reward was a full 30 points. The subsequent salsa by “Prince Charming” Nicolas Puschmann (30) and Vadim Garbuzov (33) also convinced the jury, but it wasn’t enough for the full number of points – 28 points. The contemporary of actress Valentina Pahde (26) and Valentin Lusin (33) had it again, Llambi even described him as “masterful”. The couple picked up the full 30 points.

Five celebrities, ten professionals in the trio dances

The second dances of the evening were trio dances, in which the couples were supported by another professional: Valentina Pahde and Valentin Lusin danced a samba (26 points) with Evgeny Vinokurov (30); Rúrik Gíslason and Renata Lusin showed a slow fox (25 points) with Malika Dzumaev (29); Auma Obama and Andrzej Cibis got support from Robert Beitsch (29) with tango (23 points); Simon Zachenhuber and Patricija Belousova danced a Charleston (20 points) with Christina Luft (29); Nicolas Puschmann and Vadim Garbuzov danced a rumba (27 points) with Kathrin Menzinger (32).

Audience votes Auma Obama from the show

Adding up the points distributed by the audience, it was not enough for Auma Obama and her professional dance partner Andrzej Cibis. Valentina Pahde, Rúrik Gíslason, Simon Zachenhuber and Nicolas Puschmann are in the semi-finals.
