The second show of “Let’s Dance” took place on Friday. 13 celebrities danced to 90s music. In the end, a TV star had to go.
On Friday evening (March 8th) the second regular show of the season was on the RTL dance show “Let’s Dance”. Under the motto “90s”, the celebrities once again brought a wide variety of dances to the dance floor. And so it wasn’t just presenter Victoria Swarovski, 30, who amazed the audience, showing off her new look with brown hair and bangs. The dancing stars also caused surprises with their (mostly) improved dancing skills. In the end, a star who had previously been at loggerheads with a juror had to leave the TV show.
Stefano Zarrella, 33, and Mariia Maksina, 27, started things off by dancing a cha-cha-cha to “Smooth” by Santana. “That’s what we want, keep it up,” explained juror Jorge González, 56, about the energetic performance. “Too immobile and often away from the music,” said his critical colleague Joachim Llambi, 59. In the end, there were 14 points for Stefano Zarrella, who was visited by his brother Giovanni, 46, during training, which “really means the world” to him. and pushed him “a lot”.
Icy atmosphere between TV Lion and Joachim Llambi
Tillman Schulz, 34, and Patricija Ionel, 29, then danced a rumba to “You” by Ten Sharp. She had “never seen anyone so nervous” on “Let’s Dance,” remarked juror Motsi Mabuse, 42, afterwards. “It was a standing rumba, not a moving rumba. It was very unsteady on its feet. Rumba is an erotic dance, I didn’t see that,” was Llambi’s scathing verdict. The juror and the “Lion’s Den” investor have not been on good terms since the first show. “I accept, thank you,” said Schulz briefly and succinctly. After the verdict (González 3, Mabuse 3, and Llambi 1 point), Schulz teased even further: “Mr Llambi at MSV Duisburg is familiar with low points.”
Sophia Thiel, 28, and Alexandru Ionel, 29, performed a paso doble to “Rhythm Is A Dancer” by SNAP! to the best. According to the jury, the “Dance for a Strong Woman” suited the sports influencer well. The reward was 13 points and thus an improvement compared to Show one of two points.
Model Eva Padberg, 44, and Paul Lorenz, 37, danced a cha-cha-cha to “Strong Enough” by Cher. Tall women with long legs don’t always have an easy time dancing, “but I imagined it would be worse. Keep at it,” was Llambi’s quite friendly verdict. In the end, Padberg had 12 points. Tony Bauer, 28, and Anastasia Stan, 26, performed a slow waltz to “Love Ain’t Here Anymore” by Take That. “I’m in love with you both. My heart is opening,” enthused Motsi Mabuse after the dance. There were 16 points in the end.
Dark and tearful
Jana Wosnitza, 30, and Vadim Garbuzov, 36, were responsible for the first contemporary of the season, dancing to Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”. “Very physically and very emotionally strenuous,” was the moderator’s own conclusion, with tears already flowing during the training. The jury liked her soft side and gave it 18 points.
Musicians Gabriel Kelly, 22, and Malika Dzumaev, 33, performed a dark paso doble to “Join Me (In Death)” by HIM. Joachim Llambi would have liked “something more classic”. “You wanted to be wild and scale it back now,” the judge gave his tip for the next show before the jury awarded 17 points (5/5/6).
Lulu, 32, and Massimo Sinató, 43, impressed with a rumba to “Dont’ Let Go” by En Vogue. Sinató not only put together a “great production”, he also saw “sensible technology”, assessed Llambi. The 21 jury points caused enthusiasm among the dancing couple.
Improvements in many places
Ann-Kathrin Bendixen, 24, and Valentin Lusin, 37, danced a Charleston to “Scatman” by Scatman John and were very happy about the short verdict of “better” from Joachim Llambi. The couple was satisfied with 10 points, more than the audience. Lina Larissa Strahl, 26, and Zsolt Sándor Cseke, 36, who showed a slow waltz to “Run To You” by Whitney Houston, were also able to improve, Mabuse “sees a development”. This was rewarded with 16 points.
Actors Mark Keller, 58, and Kathrin Menzinger, 35, wanted to impress with a slow waltz to “I Wonder Why” by Curtis Stigers. “I could recognize the dance,” said Mabuse, cautiously impressed. In the end it was 16 points. “Very nice, dear ones,” the performance of Biyon Kattilathu, 39, and Marta Arndt, 34, was also well received by the juror. They danced a tango to “Be My Lover” by La Bouche and received a pleasant 20 points.
The worthy finale was Detlef D! Soost, 53, and Ekaterina Leonova, 36, danced a cha-cha-cha to “Sexbomb” by Tom Jones. “I have found my master,” the dance coach and choreographer explained about his trainer. The jury also believes that a successful duo has been found. “But we have to work on our feet,” Mabuse said. Joachim Llambi would also like to see more of the “really strong passages”. Soost and Leonova secured first place with 22 points.
Tillman Schulz took last place before the audience voting. In the end, the “DHDL” star had to tremble with his dance partner as well as Ann-Kathrin Bendixen and Valentin Lusin. Schulz could no longer get rid of last place and had to say goodbye to the dance show.
