Standing ovations from the audience or boos for the strict judge Joachim Llambi (55) must be avoided this Friday evening when the live dance show "Let's Dance" (8:15 p.m. RTL) is broadcast. Because for the first time there will be no viewers in the studio, as the station announced on Thursday. Spot on news explains in an interview why the Austrian moderator of the show, Victoria Swarovski (26), still reacts calmly to the new, coronavirus-related circumstances.
What do you think of RTL's decision?
Victoria Swarovski: Special times require special measures. I think it's very good that the broadcaster and the production here react responsibly and set a good example.
How do you feel on the live show today?
Swarovski: I am always positive, and I'm looking forward to leading the show with Daniel this Friday. Even if the ranks will be empty this time, or only filled with very few people, we are primarily doing the show for the millions of people in front of the television.
What does this change for you?
Swarovski: First of all, nothing changes for me and the rest of the team. We will definitely create a good atmosphere and, as always, do our best to entertain our viewers in the best possible way.
The contact with the participants has always been very warm, will you do without hugs and kisses tonight?
Swarovski: Yes, that's right, we will follow the recommendations of the authorities and experts on the show as well as behind the camera and avoid unnecessary physical contact.
How big is your fear of Corona?
Swarovski: Of course you think about it and try to minimize the risk of getting infected wherever possible.
