The asymmetrical action game genre is definitely on the rise. The editor tinyBuild and the developer DogHowl Games just revealed today Level Zero, one survival horror multiplayer at gameplay asymmetric pitting scientists against scary creatures. Here is the first trailer:
Level-Zero takes place in 2058, when a space expedition by the company new horizons arrives on the planet Turion, but the researchers will soon face a terrible threat. Here is an overview of the game:
Level Zero is an asymmetric PvP survival horror. Four scientists must repair an electrical system to escape the creatures that stalk them by wielding telepathy, ambushes and electricity.
We are in the year 2058. A space expedition sees a group of researchers from the New Horizons company set off to explore the universe. At the end of a trying journey, they land on the planet Turion, far from suspecting the catastrophe that awaits them…
TEAM OF SCIENTISTS
- Light is the supreme weapon
As a scientist, wield the light against creatures. Use objects and simulated lighting to repel them and save time.
Cooperate, validate your objectives and flee. Your success depends on the accuracy of your shots, your reflexes and your coordination. Warn your teammates of danger, help them complete objectives, and fend off the enemy to stay alive.
- Manage your consumables wisely
Your resources are limited and you will have to make choices: will you use your flare for lighting or as a weapon? Search the station’s storerooms for loot and help your teammates.
- Unlock perks and customize your character
Each game allows you to earn VPs and game currency. Make the right choices, because you will lose your advantages if your team is eliminated. Customize your character with skins and appearance items!
- Place traps to defend yourself
Scientists can deploy a motion-sensor searchlight, while creatures place nests of facehugger-looking monsters that no human would want to come across.
Reappear as a drone to guide your team through corridors, track monsters with laser beams, bring lost items to your teammates, and raise the alarm in case of danger!
CREATURES TEAM
- Trap and kill survivors in the dark
Sneak through air ducts and disable light sources using telepathy and electromagnetic pulses. Follow your human prey and attack them when darkness descends on the game. Night can fall at any time and turn the tide of the game!
Detect the pulse of survivors through walls and attack them by surprise.
- Various skills and tactics
Coordinate to wreak havoc on the survivors. Prepare the place and time of your attacks to pounce on the survivors by surprise. Howl to destabilize them before attacking them.
- Use power outages to your advantage
As a monster, you can see perfectly in the dark. When darkness suddenly falls, you’re on your territory and you’re the one pulling the strings: no human can escape you.
