Lewis Capaldi: Great emotions at the concert in Munich

Lewis Capaldi (23, "Before You Go") is currently conquering the worldwide music scene with his smoky and outstanding voice. With his first single "Bruises" the young Scots catapulted himself onto the radar of the pop world in 2017 and meanwhile – with a wink – calls himself the Scottish Beyoncé. His mega hit "Someone You Loved" followed in 2019 and made it to the top of the UK charts. But Capaldi not only shines with emotional lyrics. He also scores with his fan masses with his unique sense of humor, which he repeatedly reveals in interviews and on social media – also with his most recent appearance at Zenith in Munich on Saturday evening.

Before the more than 5,000 guests heard the songs of his debut album "Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent", the evening was opened by the British singer Holly Humberstone and the Scottish band Fatherson. Finally Capaldi took the stage and started his performance with the song "Grace". "What would be better on a Saturday evening than listening to a fat, Scottish man singing about his feelings?" Asked the 23-year-old initially in a humorous way.

"The last time I performed here in Munich was about 2,000 people. Today there are 5,300 people. That's quite a lot of tickets and, to be honest, a lot of money. Thank you very much! But it's not about that Money, but for the fame, "Capaldi continued to joke and thanked him for a sold-out concert.

New album in 2021?

The Scot hardly missed any of his debut songs. From "Fade" to "Hollywood" – the audience was confident in the lyrics and continued to sing almost every song independently. The band ended his last single "Before You Go" with a capella singing before Capaldi finally released his mega hit "Someone You Loved". "It was the best show in Germany so far! The next time I come back, hopefully in 2021, I will have a new album," the singer ended his concert.

Lewis Capaldi obviously has big plans. In addition to his own tour and festival dates, he will accompany his musician friend Niall Horan (26, "No Judgment") on his "Nice To Meet Ya" tour in April and May 2020.
