In France, LDLC OL is an institution. The foxes have been present in the LFL since the start of the French league and they even won the first editions. But the kings have fallen and since then they have been stealing the limelight by other teams. In 2021, we even feared for the team, which was potentially relegation after the spring segment. Fortunately, the Summer Split was better negotiated and the team even managed to qualify for the playoffs. It’s encouraging, but as the fans have already tasted the heights, they necessarily want better and hope to quickly find Europe.
For 2022, we don’t really know what to expect. The foxes have kept the same French carry frame, for which we know its strengths and weaknesses. On the other hand, they went to look for a Swedish nugget and an turkish nugget who are ready to play the role of X factor.
Roster
At LDLC OL, we know the two French people very well Eika and Exakick which were renewed. The old midlane fox is 25 years old. He is no longer very young and his best years are surely behind him, but he remains a sure bet who is always able to carry late in the game. The ADC for its part is still a kid. He is only 18 years old but no one will question his mechanics. While the botlane will be stacked like never before in the LFL, we really want to see if the Frenchman will manage to keep up.
To accompany Exakick, fans will find another face already known. File, the former LEC player is also back. He knows the LFL very well (former Misfits Premier) and forms a solid botlane with the Frenchman. They are already used to playing together and won’t need a warm-up lap to find their feet.
So far, the roster seems solid, but we’re heading into the unknown with To win back (top) and Yike (jungle). The first is a Turkish talent that we will discover for the first time in France. He might not be as good as Armut, but as Turkey progresses he is given the benefit of the doubt. Yike for his part walked the Div 2 in 2021 with Team Oplon. It remains to be seen whether he is able to keep up with the pace at the next level.
