LFL Summer Split to resume June 1: A little early for teams?

The LFL announced the date of its return to the Rift on Wednesday evening. The French league of League of Legends will return on June 1st for the Summer Split, therefore leaving teams less than a month to rest and make the necessary adjustments to the transfer window. But already, spectators believe that the schedule may be a little tight for some teams since this year again, the EUM is almost French.

In effect, the European Masters Spring 2022 will conclude on May 7 with a French final, LDLC OL against Karmine Corp. Three teams were still in contention for the playoffs at the start of May, with Vitality.beeout of the four qualified, which made the LFL the most represented European league in the competition… and therefore the one with the fewest teams at rest.

Last year, the EUM Spring had ended on May 2 with the victory of KC and Misfits Premiers still in contention in the playoffs but eliminated very early. The best ERL in the world then took over on June 8, which therefore left almost two more weeks of rest for the French teams. But with the restructuring of the regions by Riot, now all the main leagues are modeled on the same model and the same schedule, in order to standardize the competition, namely a start of the split the week of May 30, and playoffs between August 1 and 21.

It is this reorganization which allowed the LFL to have for the first time the chance to send 4 teams to EUM. But in return there will be less time to breathe for LDLC, Karmine Corp, Vitality.Bee and Team BDS Academy.

In the meantime, we will find at the Summer Split the 10 teams from the last split including the 4 European representatives, Misfits Premier, Team GO (new name of GamersOrigin), GameWard, Solary, Mirage Elyandra and Team Oplon.
