What is this LG OLED TV?
The OLED55B3 television is a White-OLED model from LG. Less bright than OLED or QLED, the panel still offers good brightness, deep blacks and contrasts, and richer colors than with a traditional LCD screen. The LG B3 offers 4K UHD definition of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, and is compatible with HDR10 and Dolby Vision IQ standards. These allow a detailed image, in theory faithful to the cinema experience.
Gamers will be able to connect their PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series via the two HDMI 2.1 inputs. The OLED55B3 benefits from a refresh rate of up to 120 HZ, ideal for gaming in good conditions. VRR, or variable refresh rate, and ALLM, low latency mode, are also included. They are used to avoid the phenomenon of screen tearing, and allow a fast response time of 0.1 ms, for the smoothest possible image.
Is this LG TV worth it for the sales?
If you are looking for a versatile TV, both for your movie nights and for gaming, then this OLED55B3 is worth it if your budget allows it. The speakers are unfortunately not as efficient as the panel. The audio part offers a Dolby Atmos simulation which offers immersive sound, but which only reveals itself with a good additional installation. A soundbar should be enough to get the most out of the audio.
The latest version of WebOS adorns the TV menus. The display is clear and navigation is fluid and ergonomic. The interface allows easy access to SVOD applications and services, and everything is compatible with Google and Amazon Alexa voice assistants.
