Only a few days left before the start of the IFA in Berlin where LG intends to make people talk about it.

As proof, the Korean giant has already formalized an imposing 45-inch gaming screen, a monitor that ticks a lot of boxes: OLED, curved, in WQHD definition, and with a refresh rate of 240 Hz!

An exceptional OLED screen

Year after year, OLED technology continues to be on everyone’s lips and expand its empire. After the surprising presentation of Xeneon Flex, the flexible gaming screen, by Corsair at Gamescom, it’s LG’s turn to pull out all the stops. The manufacturer has just unveiled its UltraGear 45GR95QE OLED gaming monitor, which is none other than the first curved OLED display that features a refresh rate 240 Hz. It’s a real monster, like a Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, with a few differences.

In addition to its diagonal of 45 inches, this monitor has a very pronounced radius of curvature of 800R. It offers a 21:9 aspect ratio for a WQHD definition (3,440 x 1,440 pixels), enough to provide an unparalleled feeling of immersion. On the display side, OLED technology requires, this UltraGear screen will be able to display deep blacks and a great richness of colors since it will cover the DCI-P3 space at 98.5% according to LG.

The monitor will support HDR10 signals fine, with no certification as far as we know though. There will be a DisplayPort 1.4, as well as two HDMI 2.1 ports with VRR support. Three USB 3.0 ports complete the package. For now, LG has not yet announced a price or launch date for its extreme monitor. It will no doubt be presented in more detail in the aisles of the IFA.
