“I had experts calculate how the additional tax burden for average earners has developed over the past five years. Today they earn 8.2 percent more – but pay about 12 percent more income tax. Given the current wave of inflation, injustice should be put on the back burner as soon as possible,” demands LH Platter. As in 2016, the entry tax rate is still 11,000 euros. If this had been adjusted for inflation in recent years, the tax liability would only start at around 12,000 euros this year.
