Lhyfe: losses worsened, investments accelerate

(CercleFinance.com) – Lhyfe, a specialist in the production of green and renewable hydrogen, announced on Wednesday that it has increased its losses in 2022 due to the major investments made to ensure its development.

In a context of a sharp acceleration in its expenses, the Nantes group saw its EBITDA loss widen to 17 million euros last year, against a shortfall of five million euros in 2021.

The group, which aims to become a “European leader” in the production of green hydrogen, justifies this aggravation, among other things, by the multiplication by 2.5 of its workforce, brought to 149 employees.

In its press release, Lhyfe indicates that its 2023 financial year should be marked by the increase in its production capacities, which should be increased to four tonnes of green and renewable hydrogen per day at the end of the year, against 300 kg at the end of the year. actual hour.

By 2026, Lhyfe still expects to post a total installed capacity which should reach 200 MW, as well as a consolidated turnover of around 200 million euros for a break-even EBITDA.

In the longer term, Lhyfe is aiming for an EBITDA margin above 30%.

Listed on the Paris Stock Exchange since May 2022, the title fell by 2.3% after these announcements, which brings its decline to around 12% since its introduction.
