Taking advantage of the presentation of Mortal Kombat 1 at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Warner Bros. Games has unveiled three new fighters from its main roster. Thus, it is Li Mei, Tanya and Baraka who appeared in a new trailer. The latter, in addition to giving an overview of the gameplay, presents some elements of the story. We discover in particular the Umgadi, a battalion of warrior priestesses whose mission is to protect the royal family of the Underworld.
Li mei, Umgadi banished from her order, seems determined to respect the oath she once made. Tanya, new leader of the Umgadi, skillfully wields a kind of giant nunchaku and can also rely on weapons of pure energy. As for Baraka, he seems to be afflicted by the tarkatane plague, a terrible disease which disfigures its wearer before transforming him little by little into a bloodthirsty monster. Problem, Princess Mileena herself seems contaminated by this same evil.
In addition to this small preview of the story of Mortal Kombat 1, Warner has also revealed its Kombat Pack DLC which will complete its roaster with six other playable characters in post-launch downloadable content. It will thus be possible to let off steam with the 3 Kombattants Quan Chi, Ermac and Takeda Takahashi but also with the 3 guests: Peacemaker, Omni-Man and Homelander.
