Ex-James Bond George Lazenby brings his compatriot Liam Hemsworth into play as the next 007.
Ex-007 George Lazenby (83) has a preferred candidate for the next James Bond cast. Opposite the US portal “TMZ” the Australian, who only once embodied the agent with the license to kill, stood up for his compatriot Liam Hemsworth (32).
Liam Hemsworth ‘crazy enough’ for 007?
The next actor must be “crazy enough, arrogant enough, confident enough, ambitious enough to take on the role,” Lazenby said. And it also helps that “Hunger Games” star Hemsworth is a “handsome Australian guy”.
Like Lazenby, who succeeded Sean Connery (1930-2020) in 1969, the next Bond has a difficult legacy. Since 2006, Daniel Craig (54) has shaped the role like the original Bond Connery before him. Hemsworth, 32, would be the youngest-ever 007 actor after Lazenby. Lazenby was 29 when he played the double zero in “On His Majesty’s Secret Service” for the first and last time.
But how realistic is Liam Hemsworth’s signing as 007? After all, Miley Cyrus’ (30) ex-husband recently signed for a major role in the series. In the fourth season of “The Witcher” he replaces Henry Cavill (39) – another candidate to succeed Daniel Craig.
