Licenses: Emmanuel Macron will announce the extension of the Pass’Sport to scholarship students

Emmanuel Macron will announce an extension of the Pass’Sport system, an allowance of 50 euros for the acquisition of a sports license, to scholarship students during a trip on Wednesday afternoon to Clichy-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint- Denis), indicated the Elysée. Four days before the first round of the legislative elections, the Head of State is thus making a third visit on social themes, after the hospital in Cherbourg and the school in Marseille last week. During this trip, devoted to the sports practice of young people in the neighborhoods, Emmanuel Macron will inaugurate a “solidarity dojo”.

50 euros less

The president, who will be accompanied by the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra and the president of the French Judo Federation Olivier Klein, must also attend breakdance demonstrations. The solidarity dojos allow young people from the neighborhoods to practice judo and the associated sports disciplines (taïso, ju-jitsu, kendo, etc.) for free, as in a club, explains the French Judo Federation on its website. The Clichy-sous-Bois dojo is part of the “5000 land plan”, announced in October 2021, which provides for the development of 5,000 local sports facilities, on the horizon of the 2024 Olympic Games, for 200 million euros. euros.

A thousand dojos and martial arts or boxing rooms, 1,000 multi-sports facilities, 500 basketball courts or even 200 mobile pools to teach toddlers to swim will thus hatch in neighborhoods and rural areas, according to the website of the Ministry of Sports. The Head of State will also return to the deployment of the Pass’Sport, a measure announced in May 2021 to support the resumption of licenses in sports clubs after the health crisis. The Pass’Sport allows young people aged six to 18, based on social criteria, to reduce the cost of their registration by 50 euros.

760,000 scholarship students concerned

It will be extended to the 760,000 scholarship students in order to encourage the practice of sport, which is weaker, among the student public, the presidency indicated. Emmanuel Macron will also announce the renewal of the “summer quarters” and “learning holidays” systems set up for young people who do not go on vacation. The “summer districts” offer sports (soccer tournaments, cycling…), culture (micro-festivals, outdoor film screenings…) and training (first aid, road safety… ). The “learning holidays” offer academic reinforcement as well as leisure and nature discovery activities.

This trip to Seine-Saint-Denis has no connection with the chaotic Champions League final at the Stade de France, where supporters were sprayed with tear gas or victims of theft and assault, assured the Élysée. . Emmanuel Macron, who multiplies field visits, will then go Thursday to the Tarn, to Gaillac, to discuss security in the rural world.
