After making fast charging stations available to drivers of electric cars in the car parks of its supermarkets (3,000 by the end of the year), Lidl marketed two wallbox models in December 2022 to be installed at home for recharge your vehicle. And these wall terminals are back on its site. Automobile Propre announces that they will only be available online on Monday, November 13, and not in store.
The major retailer offers two Ultimate Speed models. The first is an 11 kW wall charging station, with a nominal current of up to 16 A, equipped with a type 2 socket. This first model is announced at €349. The second offers a charging power of up to 22 kW, with a nominal current of up to 32 A, and has a slightly higher price of €499.
Both have a weather-resistant IP65 protection class housing, a 3.3-inch color LCD display that provides clear information about the current charging process and a connector with a 5-inch cable. mr.

Two charging cables
It costs €500 for a 22 kW terminal at Tesla, also a competitive price. And at Lidl, as with the American manufacturer, it is clearly specified that a terminal must only be installed, repaired and maintained by a qualified electrician.
Lidl also offers a type 2 Ultimate Speed charging cable, with a maximum charging power of 22 kW and an input and output current of 32 A maximum. Its price is €129. Last but not least, the brand also offers a mobile charging cable for charging from a conventional power outlet, at €119. Lidl has decided not to miss the electric car train.
