The Lidl car charger is available for 55 euros. It is offered exclusively by the discounter, so there is no comparable price. However, the offer is right, because you get a practical helper for everyday life, and useful functions are also integrated.

The device is suitable for car and motorcycle batteries with 12 and 6 volts. Protection against reverse polarity, short circuit and overload is integrated. The charger is suitable, among other things, as an alternator tester, the pulse charging mode is used to revive empty batteries. In addition, a long-term connection for optimal charge retention without sulphate formation is possible.

On the one hand, the charger is suitable if you do not move a vehicle or motorcycle for a long time. On the other hand, it is definitely worth recharging the battery from time to time if you only drive your car for short distances and operate devices (such as power amplifiers) that require a lot of energy.

The jump start feature is handy. But keep in mind that you need a socket for operation. Since there is no battery, it is not suitable for use on the go.
