The Vorarlberg companies are still doing excellently: With the Liebherr plant in Nenzing and the Bürser vibration protection specialist “Getzner Materials”, two of Vorarlberg’s flagship companies reported record sales on Monday – despite the difficult general conditions.
“Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH” achieved record sales of 532.4 million in the past financial year – this corresponds to an increase of around 25 percent compared to 2020, all model series recorded at least double-digit growth. No less impressive: Orders totaling around 460 million euros were received – also a new record. The fact that the future is optimistic despite the exceptional global situation is not least due to the unexpectedly high demand for emission-free drive systems. “Digital solutions and alternative drive concepts are becoming increasingly important. Despite the currently difficult economic situation, we therefore expect the positive business development to continue,” said the company management. In the previous year, the company increased its sales by 27 percent to 134 million euros. Although the increase is also due to the rise in the price of raw materials, the growth is primarily based on the persistently high demand for vibration protection solutions, which play a central role in rail transport, for example.
