Life hacks for parents: how to manage everyday life with a child

What can you do if the sick child doesn't want to swallow his medicine for anything in the world?

Don't worry: with the shot glass trick, the child is not cheered for a short while, but precisely the amount of cough, fever or other juice that would otherwise never have its effect by turning the head away and clenching its mouth. The small glass can be optimally hidden behind a promising can. And children who have already learned to drink from the tube bravely pull in the necessary dose before they can even smell the fraud. If it tolerates the liquid medication (see leaflet), it can also be served nice and cold, which numbs the taste buds on the tongue – and the stuff is slurped down. For immediate rinsing and as a reward, the next sip really comes out of the can. We don't want to be mean, we just want the best, as always. Just like our own mothers, who liked to give us bitter medicine with treacherously soaked sugar cubes.
